Are you a talented marketer with a passion for books?

Following our most successful year ever in 2021, acclaimed independent publisher Pushkin Press is looking for an ambitious Digital Marketing Executive to join our team. This exciting role offers an opportunity to work across Pushkin’s adult and children’s imprints. Reporting into our Head of Marketing, responsibilities will include:

  • creating and running on and offline marketing campaigns
  • managing and growing our social media channels
  • running advertising across social and paid-for platforms
  • managing our website and online shop
  • creating content in house as well as commissioning freelancers and designers
  • working with our sales team to reach booksellers
  • developing partnership promotions with brands, book boxes and agencies
  • outreach to Instagrammers, bloggers and other influencers
  • overseeing our consumer-facing and bookseller newsletters
  • managing our Amazon, Bookshop.org and Goodreads accounts
  • keeping our metadata systems up to date with endorsements and reviews
  • analysing data and presenting monthly reports to the wider team
  • supporting our publicists on events and media outreach

With strong experience of marketing and paid campaigns, you’ll have excellent copywriting skills and be good at analysing data. You’ll be familiar with web content management systems, design programmes, and social media advertising. You’ll also have an energetic, self-motivated and flexible approach to work, with strong organisational, time management and planning skills.

You don’t need to have worked in publishing before, but we’re looking for someone who is passionate about books and reading. The role will be based at our central London office, however there is flexibility around working from home on an ongoing basis. Salary from £24k upwards, depending on experience.
